Any IDE for LINUX?

 Hi, I´m looking for some kind of IDE for LINUX, I don´t know too much of this S.O, (just starting) and I´m trying to figer out if there is something like JBuilder, Jdeveloper for Linux (I´d like to program in Java)

 

      I have to program a graphic "backup" application running on a server with Red Hat 6.2, which be able to backup hosts with W98, NT,MacOS and UNIX Operating Systems, I am completely lost and need some help.

 

    Any one could lend me a hand?
