Here, which is
GNU Emacs 28.0.50 (build 3, x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, cairo
version 1.16.0) of 2021-08-02
the docstring for `values' say
values is a variable defined in ‘src/lread.c’.
Its value is nil
Probably introduced at or before Emacs version 1.1.
Documentation:
List of values of all expressions which were read, evaluated and printed.
Order is reverse chronological.
Maybe an Emacs 28.1 thing ...
