My News server asks for authentication and people have told be that I need to
put username and password in a n authinfo file. i am new to emacs. What is an
authinfo file where is it and what does it do? I don’t want to type in
something that is wrong and effects the system badly.
does typing edit .authinfo create or open the .authinfo file.
