ps-print question

I am trying to use ps-print-buffer to print Lisp source code. However, all of 
my backquotes (left single quotes) like this: ` are coming out as right single 
quotes like this: '   This makes the printout unusable for Lisp.

I don't understand this. I saved the generated postscript file and looked at it 
in emacs. The backquote characters look ok there.

Is there something I should do to get the right character?
