Did a bit more searching and found the "fancy splash screen" customization
group. However, it doesn't seem to work. I set fancy-splash-image to a text
file, but now it jumps straight to the scratch buffer, even after changing
fancy-splash-image back to default. I tried setting it to an xpm image file,
but that didn't work either. I can customize the scratch buffer with
initial-scratch-message, but would prefer to have my messages on the splash.
