Incomplete grep-find buffer

 Hello -

I'm using GNU Emacs 21.3.1 on MacOSX (obtained via fink) and am running into 
the 
following problem:
When I run a 'grep-find', the resulting *grep* buffer is often incomplete, 
missing several 
lines or partial lines at the end of the buffer.  Identical subsequent runs 
result in 
differing results; sometimes complete, sometimes not.
Any ideas as to what the problem is or if theres a way i could work around it? 
And 
should I report this as a bug?
