Try this.

(setq special-display-buffer-names
      '(("*Apropos*"
         (top . 5)
         (left . 100)
         (width . 90)
         (height . 50)
         (background-color . "gray60")
         (menu-bar-lines . 0))
        "*Backtrace*" "*Input History*" "*Occur*" "*grep*"
        ))

The above may need a tweak, I cut it out of alot more buffers being
referenced.  I think you can play with this and get it to your liking.
