The Emacs way to do it is to use C-w to cut t2, then use C-y to
yank.  This will yank t2 which is not what you wanted.  But then you
can use M-y which will replace t2 with t1.  (Further M-y will
continue to replace the stuff you last yanked.)
This line is not blank.
