Display Document Name in Panel

When I open several documents in Emacs I generally open up a new Emacs
editor for each document. When I try to navigate between open documents
it is difficult to determine which editor contains the document I need
to give focus to. This is because all of the  Emacs editors display the
same name "emacs@<my machine name>....". If I wanted Emacs to just
display the filename, how would I do this?
