I wasn't clear. This is not an internal emacs problem. However, I thought that emacs users would be likely to know the answer. After all, what other application needs C-A-\.
I'm running Windows 7, connecting to a Linux platform through UltraVNC. Emacs is running on the Linux platform. UltraVNC is not passing most C-A chords.
This chords work locally on Windows 7 and locally on Linux. They work Windows to Linux using RealVNC, but I'm forced to use UltraVNC.
