bash.dev similiar question as readline but for tcap and ncurses

i think i remember bash src/ has base ncurses or termcap ( dunno details of
all these ) included .. in src/

what i do for two cases

fastest ( in run code )
and newest version

use bash.dev.src/ copy
checkout dev version of ncurses
checkout dev version of termcap ( is that an option , in contraverse of
using ncurses )

or what ..
.. i have no idea .. thats why i ask ..

imo id prefer newest dev version of termcap
in case thats an alternative to ncurses

please guide me some details regarding fastest and newest there ..
