oh really? This is strange for a free software project, mostly the people are
really helpful!
I have never worked with Trisquel, so I cant judge over it. GNU project
recommends it as 'fully free', which is fine. Anyway, excluding software
because it allows you to install non-free software as well is a bit over the
top. pip itself is released under the MIT license.
Other free software distributions distinguish between free and non-free
repositories, which leaves the choice to the user.
