Issues with installing Demo database

Greetings, need help on this one

I have installed the data demo database using pip install –user proteus The installation was successful .

The above command does not install the demo database, it installs proteus (Library to access Tryton server as a client) [1], which is required to load the demo database.

I did not know  exactly what to do in the next step  which read $ export PYTHONPATH="<PLACE_OF_YOUR_TRYTON_SERVER_DIRECTORY>"

This step is only required if you have used the manual method to install GNU Health, since you are using pip, you can skip this step.

Instead I typed the following

$ export PYTHONPATH="$HOME/trytond-2.4.0"

However when I run

$ python

I get the following  Python:  can’t open file ‘’: [errno 2] No such file or directory.

I feel that I did not type the correct path.   Where did you think I got it wrong?

You need to download the demo database files which are found in the Mercurial repository [2]

you can use Mercurial to download the files [3]

once you have downloaded the files navigate to your demo folder and run the below command as per wikibooks entry:

$ python
