I think we are talking about two different things, no?

gh-pages is a method to publish static pages from a git repository to
HTML pages served by github.io. The wiki functionality of github allows
maintaining a wiki in a git repository, which can be edited via the
github website or the repository.

Now, from a github user *not* in the h5md group, I can clone the wiki:

# git clone address@hidden:h5md/h5md.wiki

But I cannot push :-(.

# git push
ERROR: Permission to h5md/h5md.wiki.git denied to <user>.
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

This only seems to work with an account in the h5md group. Does anyone have a
pointer on how to allow public push access to the wiki? Otherwise github wikis
are partially useless (unless one prefers editing using the poor replica of
emacs/vim that is the web browser…).
