Hi folks,

I subscribed to the list recently and just wanted to say "hi".

I am Outreach & Communications Coordinator at the FSF.

As for hardware, before working at the FSF, I ran a series of classes
called "Free Computer Labs" where we would take hardware donations
(usually old, used desktops and laptops), take them apart, put them back
together, install GNU/Linux, and learn how to use the software. As you
can imagine, some of the donated hardware was very frustrating to get to
work with a fully-free system. Eventually, I stopped accepting some
types of hardware completely because they only caused headaches. A
project like h-node is certainly very valuable to people doing things
like this, and I would tell students about it.

So, "that's me"! (Or at least a little swatch of me.)

I look forward to the conversations ahead.
