There are two things I've worked on recently:

Controllers
        - new user interfaces can benefit from customized controllers
        - building from standard parts: (mechanical) mouse & Lego bricks
                - available for anyone
                - easy prototyping

Pre-attentive cues in user interfaces
        - figs in fillets and paper manuscripts

I'd rather talk about controllers.
