We are glad to inform you that the first Workshop on Reproducible
Software Environments for Research and High-Performance Computing will
take place in Montpellier, France, November 8–10, 2023:

  https://hpc.guix.info/events/2023/workshop/

In the spirit of the Ten Years of Guix event¹ and the earlier
French-speaking Workshop on Reproducible Software Environments², this
event will gather scientists and high-performance computing (HPC)
practitioners—system administrators, engineers, and researchers—to share
their experience building robust computational experiments with Guix and
related tools.

We invite you to submit talks as well as tutorial proposals to the
Program Committee at <contact-guixhpc-days@services.cnrs.fr> by
August 15th. Short talks are allocated a 15mn slot; long talks have 40mn.
Relevant topics include:

  • Experience reports using Guix or other deployment tools to reproduce
    computational experiments;

  • Challenges in deploying HPC software on clusters while retaining
    reproducibility and performance;

  • Implementing reproducible scientific workflows: from computational
    experiments to papers;

  • Challenges in packaging specific scientific or HPC software;

  • Training and teaching the role of software deployment in
    reproducible research workflows.

We particularly encourage submissions by people from categories
underrepresented in the HPC and free software communities.

Ludovic Courtès, on behalf of the organizers.
