    gnu: Revert to GCC 4.7 as the default compiler.
    
    GCC 4.8 relies on C++ headers (<cstring>, <iosfwd>, etc.) that are
    missing from the current bootstrap GCC.
    
    * gnu/packages/base.scm (gcc-boot0, cross-gcc-wrapper, gcc-final): Base
      on GCC-4.7.  This reverts part of commit 9ae7cee.
