MALAYSIA -- OUR FEATURED COUNTRY SITE
WORLD MAP OF TIME ZONES
CHINA VITAE
ALLEXPERTS.COM

Hello international traders! Malaysia is a country with a need for trade, and I
have a link in this issue to a site that will help you grow your business with
that country. I also found a site that puts the correct time for all 24 world
time zones at your fingertips. And if you're doing business in China, I have a
site that will give you biographies of all the movers and shakers there.
Finally, I have a site that gives you expert answers for just about any
question you can think of!
If you'd like more information about international trade, go to FITA's
International Trade/ Import-Export Portal <http://fita.org> ( http://fita.org
), an excellent source for trade leads, news, events, and a link library of
7,000 sites related to international trade.

MALAYSIA -- OUR FEATURED COUNTRY SITE
http://www.buyusa.gov/malaysia/en/

Malaysia is a country where badminton tournaments draw 15,000 fans; where there
are more reigning sultans (nine) than in any other country; and where the
world's tallest buildings (the 452 meter high Petronas Twin Towers) stand.
Malaysia also has a thriving economy with a large emphasis on trade (US $95
billion in exports in 2002, and US $76 billion in imports).
If you'd like to research opportunities for trade with Malaysia, go to the U.S.
Commercial Service Malaysia Page <http://www.buyusa.gov/malaysia/en/> (
http://www.buyusa.gov/malaysia/en/ ). Click on "Doing Business in Malaysia" and
you'll find reports on current market conditions and upcoming opportunities;
250 reports on Malaysian industries; information on the best prospects for
exporting to Malaysia; a country commercial guide; a list of trade events; and
more. The site is oriented toward U.S. companies, but there's plenty of good
information here no matter what country you're from.
There are many more links to Malaysia at the FITA site. Go to FITA's
International Trade Web Resources <http://fita.org/webindex/index.html> at
http://fita.org/webindex/index.html, click on Regional Resources then go to
Asia and click on Malaysia in the drop-down box. Or simply type "Malaysia" in
the search box at http://www.fita.org <http://fita.org/>. There are some great
books on trade with Malaysia in the FITA Global Trade Bookstore
<http://fita.org/marketplace/eurobooks.php>, including Business Guide to
Malaysia <http://www.fita.org/marketplace/product.php?asin=9810067941>, Doing
Business in Asia: The Complete Guide
<http://fita.org/marketplace/product.php?asin=0787942839> and Doing Business in
East Asia: A Practical Guide to China, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand
<http://fita.org/marketplace/product.php?asin=9679784924>.

WORLD MAP OF TIME ZONES
http://www.worldtimezone.com

Time is important in any kind of business, but it's critical in international
business, where there are 24 different time zones to deal with. If your
business is affected by time differences, go to World Map of Time Zones
<http://www.worldtimezone.com/> ( http://www.worldtimezone.com/ ) and you'll
find the answers you need. You can view a world time map, individual country
maps, a map of countries that use Daylight Saving Time, and a listing of
current times in every country of the world (click on the navigation buttons at
the top of the page to view these options). You can even view a map that shows
where it's night and day across the globe right now. This is a very practical
site in our time-conscious world.

CHINA VITAE
http://www.chinavitae.com/aboutus.php

Business is all about people, and who you know is sometimes the most important
factor in making a deal. That's why China Vitae
<http://www.chinavitae.com/aboutus.php> ( http://www.chinavitae.com/aboutus.php
) is such a useful site. China Vitae has a database with biographies of more
than 2500 current Chinese political, military, business, and academic leaders.
The capsule biographies show the leader's place of origin, education, work
history and organizational affiliations. They're a great way to get background
information on someone you may be dealing with, if you do business in China.
And China Vitae lets you search for relationships among biographies, such as if
two people worked at the same company at some point in their careers. There is
also a database which tracks the public appearances of several hundred senior
Chinese officials, allowing you to follow the daily activities of these VIPs
who influence Chinese policies.
