As you asked for advices: Did you run 'make distclean'?

Many weird problems with autotools can be resolved by a clean tree.

There's also './autogen.sh' again or 'autoreconf'.

As a last resort, there's also the problem with parallel buildings. I
don't know if guile-gnome has it but if you're really suspicious you can
run just 'make' without '-j n'.
