Hi,
i would like to suggest a modification to this beautiful metronome
application, which adds a minimal pulseaudio support. It is an ad-hoc
solution integrated to dsp source files. The patch is available
here:
http://84.255.254.67/gtick-pulseaudio.patch
The modification works in a way, that if dsp device could not be opened,
a pulseaudio sound server connection wants to be established. If
connection has been successfully established, then this pulseaudio
playback stream is used to feed ticking samples. The modified
application works very well on my fedora installation.
And one more thing. There is one additional change in the patch (one
character change). A change which divides the normal tick frequency by 2
for accents instead of multiplication of the normal tick frequency by 2.
Maybe it would be nice to have an option for this in preferences.
best regards and thanks again for this useful app,
Samo
