Michail,

Every quarter I produce PS files which contain approx 500,000 pages. These
files are sent to a commercial printer. Each page contains a barcode to
control "finishing" (i.e. Envelope stuffing, mailbag breaks, etc.). In
addition another 500,000 PS pages are produced which are split into about
65000 PDF files (substantially similar to the print run but including colour
and PDF Bookmarks). Groff produces the PS files at about 200,000 pages an
hour (and this includes generation of the .trf file (which can be up to 4.5Gb
in size) and several large sorts to get the output into mailsorted order).

Fonts used are the Helvetica family and Helvetica-Narrow. The only font I add
is Barcode 3of9, whch is a very simple procedure.

Cheers

Deri
