Yes, sometimes jitter is down at an indicated 0.0000, currently it's at 0.0001 
because the temperature inside the cabinet has been more regular than when i 
got the figures above

I haven’t had the need to connect over tcp to gpsd yet but will carry on 
experimenting and will try James’s suggestion

I find that systemd tries my patience

It was from -head  and must have been more than 3 weeks ago when Hal changed 
the URL for LEAPSRC  to the current working one pointing to IANA
