I have been using GPSD for the past 5 year with a u-blox GPS and have been pleased with the performance. The project that uses this configuration is about to go through a redesign and I have been trying to prototype part of the configuration. The current prototype consist of : RaspberryPi 4 running Buster OS Raspian 4.19 Sept2019 release GPSD (Version 3.17 ) was installed from app-get GPS : u-blox – ZED-F9P We are using the F9P so that the system can get to RTK accuracy. For RTK base-station reference the project will be using NTRIP casters. Since we are in NewYork the initial testing is using the NYS CORS network. I have been able to use the U-Center application ( ublox software) and connect to the CORS network and push this data to the F9P. When I have tried using the “ntrip” command line option as a part of gpsd, gpsd reports the following error: gpsd:ERROR: ntrip stream connect error -2 in req probe gpsd:ERROR: initial GPS device ntrip://UUUUUUUUU:address@hidden:8082/NYPF open failed Here is the NTRIP listing for the NYS CORS network: MountPoint Single Site Satellites Type Message Type Port ProductName NYPF Pittsford – NYPF GGG Single site RTCM3.x(MSM5) 8082 R_NYPF This is the command string I am using: gpsd -n /dev/ttyACM0 ntrip://UUUUUUUUUUUU:address@hidden:8082/NYPF -N -D 5 ( username and password are filled out correctly ) gpsd is getting valid Lat/Lon from the device. How can I get gpsd to use the NTRIP data from NYS CORS? If you need more information let me know. Thank you Rick Howitt |
