I don't understand.
You keep telling me to kill gpsd, but isn't that what's making this thing float?
I mean it's part of the setup instructions in the Stratum-1-Microserver HOWTO.
See the section called "Smoke-test NTPsec."

here's what I tried.
~# systemctl stop ntp
~# ./gpsd/gpsd /dev/gpsd0
-su: ./gpsd/gpsd: No such file or directory
~# cd /home/pi
/home/pi# ./gpsd/gpsd /dev/gpsd0
/home/pi# ./ntpsec/build/main/ntpd/ntpd -g -c ntp.conf

If this isn't the right set of instructions to do a "Smoke-test" please provide 
alternate instructions.
