I'm not sure. I'm not that deep into this topic.
Here is the output of netstat directly on the target device:
netstat -npl

was it listening on 127.0.0.1/0.0.0.0 (internal) or was it listening on the
external IP Address where you can see it from another machine?  I
believe GPSD by default doesn't listen on external IP addresses

Hello,
At the moment I'm trying to run gpsfake on one Ubuntu laptop and listen to it from another device over tcp. I'm using port 2947 for it. If I use gpsmon with localhost I can see that gpsfake is working. But if I try to connect from another device with gpsmon it simply doesn't show anything. There is no error message or output.
If I use gpspipe it shows sentences like these:
 $GNGGA,121148.00,,,,,0,00,99.99,,,,,,*77
$GNGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,99.99,99.99,99.99*2E
$GNGSA,A,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,99.99,99.99,99.99*2E
$GNGLL,,,,,121148.00,V,N*5B
$GNGST,121148.00,0.0000,,,,240280,240248,41863*4A
$GNZDA,121148.00,27,08,2015,00,00*7C
$GNRMC,121148.20,V,,,,,,,270815,,,N*67
$GNVTG,,,,,,,,,N*2E

I checked which ports the device is listening and port 2947 was listed.

Does someone know what might cause the problem?

Thanks in advance
Christian
