My Fedora 17 has gpsd-3.5-1.fc17.x86_64

Anyway I tried to quickly compile and run gpsd-3.7 (without 
installation) and it gave me same results

BTW I fond this article

don't feel like downgrading my firmware from 4.20 down to 4.00

Again, the GPS works fine in Windows
