My Fedora 17 has gpsd-3.5-1.fc17.x86_64

Anyway I tried to quickly compile and run gpsd-3.7 (without installation) and it gave me same results

BTW I fond this article http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com/message/view/home/32095350 - I just don't feel like downgrading my firmware from 4.20 down to 4.00

Again, the GPS works fine in Windows

Thanks. It says:

Interfaces: Garmin Proprietary serial,
                USB mass storage device,
                NMEA 0183

So it shuold work.

That could be your problem. The Garmin module is for Garmin USB b
inary, but the 450 (at least) is NMEAA and/or Garmin Serial Bianry.

So try to run without that module.

Lemme know when you try this.

Also be sure you are using a recent version of gpsd. What are you
on?

Version?
