Hello,

I have just realized, that with a single conf file I can make my Android gps fix much faster. I am not an expert, but as far I understand this is about using the known positions of satellites involving ntp to get an unexpected fast fix even indoors.

I would like to know if such an option is available or planned for gpsd. This would be very appreciated for a lot of people using notebooks with mobile broadband, usually including a gps, too.

Thanks for your answer,

lapa

This is called "assisted GPS" and is not supported in gpsd at present.
