Good afternoon

I'm trying to install gpsd 3.5 on centos5.
Since I have the EPEL/ATOMIC extra rep setup, I tried a yum install GPSD
but that did not go anywhere.
So I then try to install from source,

I reached the following step:
scons && scons testregress && sudo scons udev-install

from there it all goes bad:

scons: Reading SConscript files ...
  File "/home/nabylb54/gpsd-3.5/SConstruct", line 365

    with open("xmltest.xml", "w") as ofp:

            ^

SyntaxError: invalid syntax

I've attached my Scontruct file just in case, but it is the one that
came with the tar.gz/make ...
