Following up my own post.
Why would you care? If the GPS is outputting good time (2D fix), then
it has the Ephemeris already. Pretty much one directly follows the
other.
You know when the GPS has the Ephermeris for a sat. The Elevation and
Azimuth for each sat comes from the Ephemeris. So the SKY json tells
you which sats the GPS has an Ephemeris/Almanac for. The Ephemeris is
never broadcast slower that once every 48 seconds.
