Perhaps we should submit a short statement on the webpage ?Something like, enhance the gcc backend to understand parrallell constructs, and do an openMP implementation that takes advantage of this new infrastructure.
As I can understand you are the only one hwo can update.I have some experience of compiler writing, however more of one pass assemblers and linkers, I haven't done any heavy 'modern' optimization stuff, but I think I have got the teory down pretty well and have some experience in other areas that might come in handy, ( I'm doing hard realtime systems for a living ).
