Hi,
if you launch an application twice (for whatever reason), you'll be
notified that the application in question is already running, and given
the choice of Rename | Ignore | Cancel.
If you click Rename, it seems that the FIRST copy of the application
will be unregistered (but still shows up in 'gdomap -N') and the second
(copy) will be registered as <host_domain_tld>_<random_number>.
The 'unregistration' of the first copy is bad, for obvious reasons.
However, with respect to the second copy, wouldn't it make more sense to
rename it to <appname>_<serial_number>?
The reason is, IF you have multiple duplicates (of different
applications) running, it's immediately obvious which is which from
looking at the name (eg. dumped by 'gdomap -N') as compared to the
current <host_domain_tld>_<random_number> ...
