I confess having no clear idea yet how all important fullness of what is
contained in the appended HL7 message (see between the two ======= ) is
proposed to be displayed in GNUmed.
Notes:
- the test code is 'HP' and its expanded test name is 'Hematology Panel'
- this 'test' provides, in total
1 'note' that is *not* about any of the measurements, but rather about the
'panel as a whole':
'TOXIC GRANULATION present'
16 measurements (these are OBX 1 through 16)
1 note pertaining to one of the measurements (this is the NTE located below OBX
9)
So far, I understand that the NTE pertaining to OBX 9 is intended to be
included in the GNUmed tooltip for the associated cell which holds the platelet
count of 459.
Even so,
--> it is important to ensure that even without looking in the tooltip, the
user can somehow be aware, from something visually evident in the cell, that
the tooltip contains something that is possibly important. The way that the
hospital handles this is, if you go back to look at
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/gnumed-devel/2013-07/msg00122.html
is to append, into the cell (after the indicator) an @ symbol.
Secondly, where in GNUmed measurements would we display
NTE 'TOXIC GRANULATION present'
bearing in mind that this is a property of the test panel, and not of any of
the individual measurements?
One option is to recognize that the OBX 16 (which is a pathologist comment) is
supposed to get a row (cell) of its own anyway.
Maybe when
OBR
is followed by an
NTE
then it needs to be imported as a measurement into the test_result table.
