The current implementation (in Git head), while efficient, was not intuitive.
German screenshot was at
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/gnumed-devel/2011-08/pngk_BAdBd5WE.png
When you create an organization:
- you do cannot assign the organization to an address
- to assign an address, you must first create (at least) one branch or (at
least) a 'fake' branch and then you can assign *that* an address, but inside
the edit area for the branch you cannot assign an address or a phone number,
each of those must be created or selected in two other separate areas of the
screen.
The screen offers what looks like an input area for an address. When you input
such an address, you might think you could save it with the Save button however
if you click the Save button anything you had just inputted would be discarded.
If instead you click the Add button, the text already inputted is ignored. It
remains in the background, while in the foreground a new dialog opens in which
you can input and save a new address.
What I (as a user) did not realize was that the input area was (only) for the
purpose of string searching a possible match among existing addresses.
The tooltip over the Address field should be changed from
Select an address for this organizational unit
to
Search for matches among existing addresses and Save a selection, or
Add a new address.
