[Gnumed-bugs] login?

Good afternoon,

Please could you help me?
I have downloaded gnumed  and it seems I am not able to to log in.
I am getting this message :

Unable to connect to database:

could not connect to server: No such file or directory
    Is the server running locally and accepting
    connections on Unix domain socket "/var/run/postgresql/.s.PGSQL.5432"?
Please retry another backend / user / password combination !
Please consult the error log for all the gory details !


Then when turning to de help screen I get this:

GNUmed main login screen

USER:
 name of the GNUmed user
PASSWORD
 password for this user

button OK:
 proceed with login
button OPTIONS:
 set advanced options
button CANCEL:
 abort login and quit GNUmed client
button HELP:
 this help screen

Probably I am doing something wrong or do I have to register somewhere 
first?
