Not likely.

It is not so much that I don't know *what* the error is but
rather *why* it happens.

It tries to access field content beyond the end of the
field. But *why* does it try to do that ?  The person to
best understand this is the person who wrote the code that
is the field. That's why I wrote to the wxPython mailing
list because the author of the code reads that list :-)

John, do you happen to use text expansion macros when it occurs ?
