No.

I know where the error should be seen - in the console
output of pdflatex (because it fails to generate the PDF).

That's why I asked for that.

At this stage there's only two possible sources of this
situation:

1) pdflatex isn't installed quite right (unlikely)

2) the template is faulty (given the history of it being
   faulty I can imagine that)

The differentiation will be seen in the console output of
pdflatex during the run when trying to generate the
medication list.
