Re: [GNUe-dev] no makefiles

Since we are a python-based project, we use Python's distutils. Makefiles
are not portable to all our target platforms and offer no additional
advantage (we have no concepts of compiling or linking.)

Makefiles are included for AppServer's texinfo-based documentation.
