I don't think so. The authors may have a separate contract among themselves,
but I'm pretty sure they deal with the publisher as a single entity. One
party (the authors) sell their book to the other party (the publisher). I
guess an exception would be, if the publisher decided to bring on another
writer to polish the work or something.
