Web servers do all sorts of things in response to URLs.
Sometimes they serve static pages, sometimes they run
programs, sometimes they generate content dynamically.
They have built in Java, PHP, Perl, Ruby, and other
interpreters. It is impossible to say from the outside
what a web server is doing in order to handle a request.
