The routers are made by Actiontec and Verizon sends them to
its customers, and has a website where people can download
firmware upgrades. Actiontec has a website from which the
source for the GPLed router software can be downloaded. It's
certainly possible that Verizon is in violation of the specific
requirements of the GPL because of the way they provide the
routers and the link for a firmware upgrade, but since the
source for the GPLed software is in fact available from the
manufacturer of the devices, I expect that the SFLC felt it was
not worth pursuing these technical violations in court, which
would probably be impatient with nitpicking...
