As long as all the code in the program is your own original work you
can do whatever the heck you please with it -- that's why it's
called copyRIGHT as in you have a legal right to do that.

You don't have to give ANYTHING away "for free" as in "no money",
anyways. What is this about "give it away for free"? GPLing somthing
does not mean "give it away for free". "Free" in "free software" means
"free" as in "free speech" not as in "free beer" (libre, not gratis)
means freedom of the _user_ to do things with the software. The
user can give it away for free but *you* don't have to.
