I have some code online myself. I do not *sell* this code to anyone, not
even for free. My website is a service from which you can download a copy of my work. This is just like a radio station providing a service: they do not *sell* you the music you listen to.

After downloading my code, you do not *own* anything. If you want to *own* a copy, send me an email and I will reply to you with an attached copy of my software. The email will be proof of *sale* and then you *own* a copy. You may do as you like with that copy, sell it on etc, but if you distribute copies (which you make yourself) or derivative works you must agree to the GPL.

Simple, isn't it?
