regarding my suggestion to change the labels in the GUI to not mention
the brand names of the programs that created them - i should have
qualified that with: "if the FSDG requires any changes to this program"
- but i am not convinced that any changes are required
the only reason i suggest that may be the appropriate action is because
of the issue with the debian kernel that has halted the evaluation of
connochaetos - namely that the kernel logs by name any blobs that it
attempts to load but finds missing - as i understand it is related to
the bug in linux-libre that prevents it from loading any unknown modules
and the FSF and linux-libre really would like to see that log message
changed to read like: "failed to load *NON-FREE-BLOB*" - it is not clear
from the FSDG itself if that intention is primarily to avoid the
mentioning of the non-free module by name or merely because the message
looks like an error, suggesting that the module should have been present
