I waited three weeks and my message was never approved, so I subscribed
to the list and sent it again with follow-up remarks [1]. Then Adrian
Chadd of QCA and FreeBSD quickly replied [2] with some good news.

That would be Joshua Gay, who just replied in this thread and filed one
of two upstream bug reports about this license.
