Deleting the driver is a solution.

Modifying the driver so that it says "Device not supported" (and
nothing more) is also a solution.  However, if the text of the
message is different from that, or contains more than that,
it might be a problem.

Disabling the driver at compile time is also a solution if it gives
the same behavior as one of the two above solutions.
