I've been working up some new docs in "handbook" format.
It's not done yet but there's enough to get the sense:
http://www.seyza.com/src/docs-tla/my/id.html
and
http://www.gnuarch.org/src/docs-tla/my/id.html
I'm open to "early feedback" at this stage although
the development pace for these docs is very fast
so it won't be "early" for long :-)
Some comments:
'Next' and 'Prev' would be nice within each section
1.1: 'revctl' - I wouldn't be shortening words straight off the bat
- I'd suggest ~/arch/archives as the 'archloc'
- likewise, ~/arch/mirrors as the 'mirrorloc'
- and, ~/arch/revision-library as the 'revlib'
2.4: intro paragraph is hard to parse
4.1: the wiki syntax has broken the display
4.2: why not discuss 'tla grab' ?
5.1: mention '-l' ? since making your archive available for others is a
common next step, typically done via plain HTTP
5.3+ and onwards aren't displayed in the left nav-area for some reason
