Alright, I think I have fixed this in
address@hidden/tla--unsigned-check--1.3--patch-7 .  It now
keeps track of whether the memoized answer was an exact match or not,
and when called with no_default == 1 and a memoized answer is found
but not marked exact, it returns 0 instead.

(I'll submit a merge request once bug goo records my previous bug
report on this.)
