Ask and ye shall receive:

* committed address@hidden/tla--inventory--1.3--patch-1

It even comes with a test case.

Now that recursive per-directory regexps are done, the next step is to
make 'tla init-tree' create a toplevel .arch-inventory file as I said
before.

The big stumbling block for me right now is - how do I tag the
newly-created toplevel .arch-inventory file? Just doing the equivalent
of a "tla add" after creating it will probably annoy hardcore tagline
users, not to mention names, since they'd also have to have a .arch-ids
directory around for just this one file.

Another alternative I was considering is to insert a tagline, and have
inventory know to always look for a tagline in the toplevel
~/.arch-inventory file. But that creates another problem - what to put
in the tagline?
