In this case, 'parsing' and 'using' are two seperate things. The
parser, parses the entire log file into a data structure. So, whether
or not I actually use the Date field, I still need to be able to parse
it.

It took all of a few seconds to hack around the issue, but I figured
it was at least worth noting. Tom, or someone, once mentioned that the
format was supposed to be compliant, and that it is a bug if it isn't.

At the very least, we could note the inconsistancy somewhere. I am not
convinced it's actually worth fixing.
